Artist Profile:  Stephanie Barnett

Stephanie Barnett has been an art director, painter, illustrator and muralist since 1985. She is currently based in Seattle, Washington.

Her advertising work, creating TV commercials and print ads, has taken her to many destinations, from Los Angeles to Hong Kong. Some of her paintings were featured on the television shows "Friends" and "Veronica's Closet".  As a graduate of the Art Center College of Design, she has a solid work ethic and a keen eye for interesting art.

Stephanie's sense of design also extends through her love of the holidays, including Christmas. Her own Christmas card letter designs are famous with her family and friends. This made her a natural for this Christmas card design project.  "I start planning Christmas projects in July to get a jump on things.  So that I enjoy spending the holiday time with family and friends.  I like the sense of an old fashioned Christmas which is what I wanted to show in one design, as well as a more artistic view in another."

Stephanie is now concentrating on her painting work, be it murals, illustrations or fine art paintings.  She always has projects going on, and loves to put her culinary skills (she worked five years as a personal chef) to the test  - with dinner parties and children's parties.  She is a deacon at her church and loves her monthly book group.
